A Little Love from my Couples…

I knew right away that Marina was the perfect photographer for capturing our special day – her knowledge and love for photography was apparent, and her positive energy was absolutely contagious. From day one she was very hands on, supportive, and intuitive. She brightened my days in the busy, and often overwhelming, wedding planning and was an absolute breath of fresh air.

Marina’s calm yet passionate demeanor helped make the days leading up to the wedding enthusing and manageable as she was very cooperative, communicative, and accommodating with the little details that Bryton and I wanted incorporated into our day. At the same time, Marina was always so gracious. She never said no to meeting up during her busy schedule and always voiced how ecstatic she was for us and how much she was looking forward to the big day. There were many times where she braved the natural elements with us while we scoped out the University of Alberta Botanical Garden where she helped Bryton and I see many more breath-taking angles to the venue. When it came time for our engagement photos, I had never been one for liking photos taken of myself, so I was nervous and apprehensive of the experience. However, that was changed within minutes of being with Marina. She completely blew me away with the locations she had chosen for our photos (completely capturing my vision and then some) and helped make the photoshoot a very natural and fun experience for me. She helped provide me with my own self-confidence while also managing to make it feel as though it was just Bryton and I in a dream-like, romantic fairytale.

Moreover, she was extremely informative about procedures and details that we had not known previously which in turn allowed us to wake up on the day of the wedding with an added sense of confidence that everything was going to be just fine!

When it came to the big day, she beamed with love while maintaining a strong sense of professionalism. Marina absolutely went above and beyond our expectations. Seeing her in her natural element was so heart-warming and added to the magnificence of our special day.

She captured moments that Bryton and I hadn’t even known that we wanted while managing to soar throughout the day undetected. She maintained composure and confidence with the many small photo requests by the wedding guests and offered a strong sense of leadership in moving our large (sixteen) wedding party around our even larger wedding venue.

In the days following, Marina’s continued patience and accommodations aided unexpected hiccups that Bryton and I experienced, and we are so very thankful for her incredibly understanding personality. Additionally, she delivered our photos (digitally and even took the time to print off her favorite photos) personally in a wooden book shaped box that she had decorated (my theme was Pride and Prejudice, so I instantly cried). The unexpected gift spoke to our hearts and remains to be one of the most precious gifts we’ve ever received.

In conclusion, Marina became a part of our family that day, and I will be forever grateful for the special bond that we now share. She was able to capture the immense beauty and love of our wedding day, and I will forever cherish those moments elegantly frozen in time.

These moments, and the lovely unforeseen friendship, have left imprints on our hearts along with the passion, love, care, and time she spent on making our day one of the best and most treasured days of our lives.

Marina was the absolute best match for my husband and I as a photographer. Both of us are camera shy individuals and she had an amazing talent of making us both feel comfortable and relaxed. Our guests still talk about how sweet and amazing she was on our wedding day!

The pictures themselves were out of this world! They embody how much she really cares about her clients. Marina truely captured our day to the fullest and she has given us the ability to relive every special moment down to the smallest of details. We had Marina photograph our wedding this past June. Marina shot our engagement pictures last year and every single photo she took turned out amazing so choosing her to shoot our wedding was the easiest decision we’ve ever had to make.

Not only did Marina make it so easy and stress free leading up to our wedding with making sure she covered every single detail, having her there on our wedding day was so special. She was able to capture every single moment and did so with such a calm nature, which was something I needed that day haha! We didn’t have to think about anything, she made sure she covered all the bases. All of our guests instantly fell in love with not only her amazing photos but her sweet personality!

Something that really stands out to me about Marina that you don’t find in many people, is her pure heart that is shown through her interactions with people. You never walk away from a conversation with Marina feeling unfulfilled, she gives you such undivided attention and her ability to speak and act without judgement is something amazing. She may be a photographer, but behind that camera lens stands a woman who I think people should look up to, and strive to be!

Her skill in capturing moments that we may take for granted or may not notice, is so amazing. My favourite thing about her photography is her eye for detail, and paying attention to the small things all while capturing the big ones! When you receive your photos after your special event, be prepared to cry, as she truly knows how to bring raw emotion out of someone with her work!

Our wedding was nothing short of one of the best days of our lives. That is in no small part because of Marina.

I (Claire) met Marina when we were young teenagers. Later on in life our paths intertwined. It was from that relationship that Justin and I chose Marina as our engagement photographer. Both of us are a little camera shy. However, throughout our engagement session Marina made us both feel so comfortable and relaxed. We were so pleased with our engagement photos that we asked her to shoot our wedding as well. She graciously accepted to drive down to Calgary to capture our day. Her photography captured perfectly who we are as a couple. Her style is natural and focused. We both felt seen through the lens of Marina’s camera.

Our wedding day was June 15 2020. It was very uncertain time with COVID restrictions constantly changing. Our plans for the wedding were also changing frequently. Marina remained available and adaptable to our needs. She offered support and encouragement. Marina was respectful, kind and gracious to work with. On the day we were able to have a small church ceremony and a backyard reception. The day went better than we could have planned. It was easy working with Marina because of her flexibility and enthusiasm. Marina is bubbly and organized. She helped coordinate the family after the ceremony for pictures. She is relaxed under pressure and handled all of my requests with grace. Marina also has a keen eye for detail and for posing a couple. She kept the conversation light and had us smiling through the whole day. She managed her time well and kept us moving so we never were in one pose for long. Our wedding is a day that we will treasure forever. The photos Marina captured for us, we will always cherish. Trusting her to shoot our wedding was one of the best decisions we made, and have no regrets.

As soon as we got engaged we knew we had to have Marina do our photos! Her editing style is unmatched and her photography style is hard to beat.

We had Marina shoot both our engagement and our wedding! She is so natural and confident, she helps every bride feel beautiful and every groom feel like the luckiest man in the world. We loved how easily she was able to make us laugh and get absolutely stunning photos! At times it also felt like we were the only ones there and she was able to capture those beautiful and intimate moments!

After watching you work with such respect and sincerity during both our daughters weddings and seeing the absolutely fantastic end result, we knew who to call for capturing some great pics of Blair and I. We have not had pictures since our wedding more than 12 years ago so taking a moment in 2020 seemed like a good time to capture and celebrate where we are today.

My fiance and I met Marina in 2019. She was recommended by a co-worker when we were planning our wedding. She photographed our engagement session and was supposed to photograph our wedding in 2020.

She was so kind and thoughtful. She included my son in our engagement session and made him feel comfortable as well.

Our June 2020 wedding was postponed due to COVID, but I had her photograph my maternity session in the summer. She suggested a beautiful location and took some amazing photos, again including my son.

We made the difficult decision to cancel our formal wedding due to continued travel and gathering restrictions. Marina was so understanding and kind. She was empathetic and offered what she could to us during that difficult decision. We ended up doing a private wedding photo shoot. She captured our chaos and our love so perfectly. She created beautiful memories of the details we hoped would be part of our big day.

We always felt comfortable with Marina. I would recommend her to photograph anyone's special moments. She has grown as a photographer in the last couple years and we have loved her work from day one.
